Before the World Wakes Up
The coffee is still brewing.
The house is still quiet.
And for a few sacred minutes, it’s just me and Jesus.
Before the chaos, the notifications, the laundry piles and responsibilities — there’s this. A slow breath. A whispered prayer. A reminder that I’m not walking through this day alone.
I didn’t always carve out this time. Some mornings, I still miss it. But the mornings I pause — even just for a moment — something changes in me. The weight lifts. The fog clears. Peace makes its way in before the world can rush me.
You don’t need an hour. You don’t need a perfectly quiet house or perfect words. Just a few minutes to sit with God. A verse. A thought. A sip of coffee and a whisper of gratitude.
Because when I start with Him, I carry Him through the rest.
So here’s to these small, holy mornings —
before the world wakes up.
“In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”
— Psalm 5:3
